How Much Does a Boiler Care Plan Cost in the UK in 2026?

Published 30 August 2026 · Sources checked 30 August 2026

If you’re pricing up a boiler care plan for your own customers, it helps to know what the market is already charging. This checks what’s actually published on provider websites today, rather than repeating an old headline figure.

What UK providers charge right now

National providers price boiler-only cover from around £22 a month once you strip out promotional discounts [1]. British Gas lists its entry-level Boiler and Heating plan at £22.00 a month with a £60 excess and an annual service included [1]. 24|7 Home Rescue’s cheapest tier, My Boiler, is advertised at £8.99 a month — but that’s a 50% introductory discount off a full price of £17.98; the same pattern repeats up its range, from My Heating at £12.49 (full price £24.98) to My Home Plus at £15.99 (full price £31.98) [3].

Independents price differently

Not every provider publishes a number. Avenue Heating, a Watford-based independent, lists its Bronze Care Plan at £11.99 + VAT a month with no introductory discount to strip out [7]. That’s a genuinely flat, ongoing price — what a customer pays in month two is what they pay in month twelve.

Other independents don’t publish a figure at all. Gas Connect Heating in Leigh-on-Sea lists four tiers of cover, from a boiler-only service plan up to a full system plan covering plumbing and electrics, but asks you to call for a price rather than showing one on the page [6]. Waterworx in Cambridgeshire promotes its Priority 24/7 Plan as “an affordable monthly fee” with no number attached, again pointing you to a phone call or a quote form [8]. YourRepair’s site is the most opaque of the three: every visitor is routed to a “Request Price” form rather than a calculator, let alone a published rate [5].

HomeServe, one of the biggest national names, follows the same pattern from the other direction — its plan pages don’t show a price without going through an online quote flow, so no current figure can be stated with confidence [2].

Why the same cover can cost £8 or £30 a month

Four things move the price, based on what’s published today:

  • Promotional vs renewal pricing. 24|7 Home Rescue’s whole range carries a 50% discount for the first 12 months [3]; expect the renewal invoice to roughly double once that period ends.
  • What’s bundled in. Boiler-only cover sits at the bottom of the range; adding central heating, then plumbing and electrics, then drains and pest cover, steps the price up each time, as seen across British Gas’s and Corgi HomePlan’s tiered plans [1][4].
  • Excess. A £60 excess (British Gas, Corgi HomePlan) [1][4] keeps the headline monthly price down; some independents build callouts in with no excess at all, which shows up as a slightly higher flat fee instead [7].
  • Whether a price is published at all. Providers that quote individually — HomeServe, Gas Connect Heating, Waterworx and YourRepair [2][6][8][5] — tend to be pricing to the customer’s boiler age, location or history rather than a flat rate.

What this means if you’re setting your own price

If you’re a heating engineer building a monthly plan, the market gives you two credible positions: match the promotional national rate on the surface — roughly £9 to £16 a month before renewal [3] — knowing your customer will eventually compare it to a price nobody shows them until year two, or price like Avenue Heating: one flat number, no promotional games, no hidden excess [7]. Trades customers tend to value certainty over a headline discount, so a flat, honest price with the annual service built in is usually the easier story to sell face to face — and it’s a story none of the providers that hide their price behind a form are able to tell.

What to do next

Before you commit to a number, get someone outside your business to sanity-check the plan structure and price against what callouts, parts and labour are actually costing you. Loomwork Ai runs a short paid review for trades building a recurring-revenue care plan offer.
